Regular Activities

 

We have been supporting needy workers and students.

       In April 2015: Prime Ministerís National Relief Fund- APPL donated cash a sum ofRs.10,001/- for the benefit of victims of earth-quake at Nepalnear Kathmandu, north-eastern states of India: viz. Bihar, U.P., West Bengal and otherstates.A formal acknowledgement from Prime Ministerís office is here.

       In August 2014: APPL-Trust has sponsored and paid Rupees 25,000/- for medical-treatment for one of the critical-female Kidney patients, on dialysis--twice every week, in Gorakhpur city.

       In September/ October2013 : APPL-Trust has sponsored andpaid for Accidental-Insurance coverpolicy fora value of Rupees 1,00,000/- only each, for a period ofone year, for 12 persons in Noida, U.P. who are serving as Mali, Electrician, Plumbers, Drivers, Sweepers, Guard etc. and covering both males and females, and other disadvantaged groups from SC, ST,OBC, Minority community.††††††††††††††††††††

       In September 2011-to July 2013 Scholarships to cover tuition-fees for Karate Classes for 24 months for two meritorious (Black Belt holders) & deserving students from weaker section of society were sponsored by APPL, at Noida (Dist. Gautam Buddha Nagar).U.P.†††† ††

       In August / July 2012: APPL-Trust has sponsored and paid for an interest-free loan fora value of Rupees 1,00,000/- (Rs. One Lakh )only , for six months, to one of the needy , non-related , non- Hindi speakingpersons, located in Bengalaru , Karnatka state. The money is yet to be re-funded by the beneficiary because of still in bad financial health (June 2015).

       In November 2008: A sewing machine and tuition-fees for one year for 30 girls students from weaker section of society were sponsored by APPL, at sewing & stitching classes run by Aurobindo Ashram, Noida (Dist. Gautam Budh Nagar).U.P.††††††††† †††††††††††††††††††††††††††††

 

 

We have been distributing blankets and clothes in winter.

       In Dec 2015-Jan 2016:480 New woolen blanketsand also children's cloth were distributed in Eastern and western U.P., targeting under-privileged sections of the society mostly in rural / urban areas, covering to Women, Old and sick, SC, ST and Minority community,in far flung areas, generally not easily accessed. About 200 blankets were distributed in village Kewalpura Kalan and camp No.24, Vantangia community in Tarai jungles, both in District MahrajGanj, and 260 blankets in village Harraiya, District Gorakhpur. At Harraiya, Mahant AdityaNath, Peethadhishwar of Sri Gorakhnath Temple and Lok Sabha M.P. (Gorakhpur constituency) was the chief guest. Also blanket distribution was organized at Noida and Greater Noida in district Gautam Buddha Nagar(U.P.)

       In December 2015, Woolens Distribution at Government Primary School APPL - Trust, in association with some other residents of other apartments ofSec-62, Noida distributed Woolens at Government Primary School, village: Navada-Rasulpur, Noida-201301, District Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP.180 nos.offull sleeve woolen sweaters we're distributed. The DM and SSP, District Gautam Buddha Nagar appreciated the gesture. Education department of UP Govt. provides free-each year2 (two) sets of summer Khaki color school uniforms, but does not provide for woolens such as sweaters, etc. Some photos are here.

       December 2015. Chennai Deluge -Victims A truck-load of relief Materials for the benefit of Chennai Deluge-Victims was organized and sent by APPL-Trust. The relief material consists of woolens / other clothing, utensils, packed food, medicines, tarpaulin-sheets and other material. It was made possible by APPL-Trust's volunteers in Bengalaru.        In Dec 2014-Jan 2015:300 woolen blankets and also children's cloth were distributed in Eastern and western U.P., targeting under-privileged sections of the society in rural / urban areas, mostly to Women, Old and sick, SC, ST and Minority community. In BastiDistrict we had two camps. At in village Jakhanicamp (about 1 1/2 KMsouth fromBasti District hospital—it was APPL-Trustís second camp at this place in recent years), beneficiary were mostly residents fromvillage Jakhani,in Tahsil: Sadar Basti, and also at village Gidhar camp(about 34 KMnorth fromBasti Districtresidents from4 villages: Arda, Kuchuruwa , Pacharih-Khurd, and Gidhar--all in Tahsil : Rudhauli ,Basti participated / benefitted.In Gorakhpurcity we had two camps atGovernment Blind Inter College, Lal Diggi, where 120 blind students were benefited, and another at mohalla Padri Bazar (North)- both in the city. Also blanket distribution was organized at Noida and Greater Noida in district Gautam Buddha Nagar(U.P.)

       In Jan 2015, APPL - Trust, in association with some other residents of Srijan Apartments, Sec-62, Noida distributed Woolens at Government Primary School, village: Navada-Rasulpur, Noida-201301, District Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP.203 nos. sets of woolens, each set comprising of a full sleeve sweater, a cap and a pair of socks, we're distributed. Education department of UP Govt. provides free -each year2 (two) sets of summer Khaki color school uniforms, consisting of a summer shirt and a pant (or skirt for girls), but does not provide for woolens such as sweaters, caps, shoes and socks.(Some of the photographs can be had from APPL Trust Face Book A/C albums).

       In Dec 2013-Jan 2014:300 woolen blankets were distributed in Eastern and western U.P., targeting under-privileged sections of the society in rural / urban areas, mostly to lowly employed Women, Old and sick, SC,ST and Minority community. In Bastidistrict we had two camps. At in village Jakhanicamp (about 1 1/2 KMsouth fromBasti District hospital), residents from 6 villages : Jakhani, Jamdeeh-Pandey, Barsaiyen, Kailly, Chanani, Labna-Paar, and Parashi--all in Tahsil: Sadar Basti, and also at our Arda campresidents from6 villages: Arda, Kuchuruwa, ,Pikorah, Madhwapur, Pacharih-Khurd, Gidhar--all in Tahsil : Rudhauli ,Basti participated / benefitted.In Gorakhpur city we hadour camps at Tiwari Pur colony where residents from Tiwari-Pur, Mohanlal Pur, Turkman Pur, Ramdutt Pur andanother at Bindhbasini Nagar, Bank Road. In MahrajgangDistrict, blankets were distributed at camp no.24 to Van-Tangia Community (a community living in forests and dependent on primarily forest produce) at near India-Nepal border.Also blanket distribution was organized at Noida and Greater Noida in district Gautam Buddha Nagar(U.P.)

       In Dec 2012-Jan 2013:370 blankets (including 50 blanketsthose could not be timely distributed due to Elections at that time in U.P.) were distributed in various areas around Eastern U.P., targeting under-privileged sections of the society in rural areas, mostly to SC,ST and minority community. In the cities to poor, destituteand needy rural migrants living in slums / River banks at the outskirts of Gorakhpur City, atPadri Bazar in NGO/ staterun Nari Neketan, Bal Sudhar Griha .Also at villages Arda and Gidhar, Basti district and Gautam Buddha Nagar (U.P.)

       In Dec 2011-Jan 2012:250 blankets(50 blankets could not be timely distributed due to Election Commissionís model code of conduct in operation at that time in U.P.) were distributed in various areas around Eastern U.P., targeting under-privileged sections of the society like old, sick and poor, widows, scheduled caste/tribes, minority communityliving in Maleen Bastiís at Madhopur, Bahrampur ,both near Rapti river bank at the outskirts of Gorakhpur City, in various slums in Gorakhpur city and at villages Pachharhi, Gidhar and Arda, Basti district (U.P.)††††††††††††

       In Dec 2010-Jan 2011:250 blankets were distributed in various areas around Eastern U.P., targeting under-privileged sections like to Leprosy affected Patients/Community on the outskirts of Deoria City in Deoria District (U.P.), at India-Nepal border in the District of Mahrajgang (U.P.) to Van-Tangia Community (a community living in forests and dependent on primarily forest produce), Mushahar community at a settlement in Kushinagar(U.P.) , and at village Gidhar and Arda, Basti district (U.P.)

       In August 2010: Prime Ministerís National Relief Fund- APPL donated cash a sum of Rs.5, 001/- for the benefit of victims of flash flood/cloud burst at near Leh, J & K state.

       In Dec 2009-Jan 2010:275 blankets were distributed. Photos of the events are here for at villages:Ardaa /Gidhar (Distt. Basti), Naushad Bazar at migratory settlements, near river Rapti , Mushahar settlements near Jungle Kusumi, Unnaula ( Bhainsa Bazar), (Distt. Gorakhpur) and at Noida /Greater Noida, Distt.Gautam Buddha Nagar.

       In Dec 2008-Jan 2009: 200 blankets were distributed. Photos of the events are here for Unnaula (Dist. Gorakhpur)), Mushahar settlements near Jungle Sikari and Chawri, for both Block :Khorabar,( Distt. Gorakhpur), and Ardda / Gidhar (Dist. Basti).

       In August 2008: saris and other clothing for children, utensils & pressure-cookers, Blankets and durries, polythene-sheets etc. were distributed among victims of Bihar Floods.

       In Dec 2007-Jan 2008: 150 blankets were distributed. Photos of the events are here for Ramkola (Dist. Kushinagar) and Gidhar (Dist. Basti).

       In Dec 2006 – Jan 2007period: 110 blankets were distributed at Unnaula (Dist. Gorakhpur), Gidhar (Dist. Basti) and Noida (Dist. Gautam Budh Nagar).
